Fiesta Seasoned Taco Meat

This starch-free Fiesta Seasoned Taco Meat feels right at home in a big taco salad with guacamole, olives, and red onions. The oregano, cumin, garlic, and onion do a fabulous job of seasoning the beef, without any need for nightshades. Tacos pictured were made with coconut wrap shells, Fiesta Seasoned Taco Meat, iceberg lettuce, avocado slices, and red cabbage kraut. Alternatively, these easy-to-home-make Pita Tortilla Naan Bread wraps are also awesome for soft-shell tacos.

Ingredients

beef (or bison), ground 1 lb
cumin, ground 1½ tsp
oregano, dried 1½ tsp
garlic, minced 2 cloves
yellow onion, fresh, minced ¼ cup
coconut aminos 1 tbsp
sea salt ½ tsp
cilantro, fresh, minced ¼ cup
olive oil, for cooking 1 tbsp
  1. Heat up a medium sauté pan over medium-high heat and add a little cooking oil. When the oil is hot add in the ground beef.
  2. Add in garlic, spices, and coconut aminos.
  3. As the beef cooks, break it up into smaller pieces using a spatula. Cooking time will be around 10 minutes, or until the meat is no longer pink.
  4. Wonderful served in lettuce wraps!
