Pure Energy Matcha Green Tea Latte (hot or iced)

Matcha is a special variety of shade-grown green tea that is finely ground up into a bright green powder. The green powder is whisked into hot water or milk and ingested whole, so it is not strained or served in a tea bag like regular green tea. Matcha is loaded with powerful antioxidants, has caffeine, and is well known for creating an alert, yet calm state of mind. Matcha is also credited for helping with weight loss and acting as a natural appetite suppressant.

Ingredients

non-dairy milk, hot 1 cup
matcha green tea powder 1 tsp
sweetener of choice (or a few drops of stevia) 1 tsp

Directions:

  1. Whisk ingredients together.
  2. Serve.

Recipe Notes:

This drink can also be made iced. Just blend the milk of your choice (unheated) with matcha and sweetener in a blender, and pour over ice.
