Frosty Fig Chocolate Shake
Figs are my favorite replacement for starchy bananas when it comes to shakes, as figs make rich and creamy dairy-free, starch-free shakes! I love to use fresh figs in this Frosty Fig Chocolate Shake when possible, but you can use dried figs too.
Ingredients
figs, fresh, or dried* | 3
tahini, almond butter, or hemp seed butter | 2 tbsp
coconut milk | ¾ cup | |
vanilla extract | ¼ tsp | |
cacao powder can be omitted | 1 tbsp
ice cubes | 1 cup |
Directions:
- If you don’t have a high-speed blender, then you may want to soak the dried figs in warm water for 30 minutes prior to blending to help soften them.
- Blend all ingredients together (except ice) on high.
- When creamy, then add in ice and blend until thick and creamy.
