Starch-Free Taco Seasoning
This starch-free taco seasoning is a staple in my spice cabinet (I usually quadruple this recipe as it keeps really well). I love that it is free of fillers, preservatives, and sugar. It works really well when added to beef and chicken. It’s an easy blend that spices things up a bit 🙂
Ingredients
cumin, ground | 1 tbsp | |
garlic powder | 2 tsp | |
paprika | 1½ tsp | |
sea salt | 1 tsp | |
oregano, dried | 1 tsp | |
onion powder | ½ tsp | |
red pepper flakes, crushed | 1 tsp |
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients in an airtight container.
- Two tablespoons of this blend is equal to 1 packet of taco seasoning.
Recipe Notes:
- The key, of course, is to use filler-free ingredients (I have not had problems with this, but to be sure, you can always use the iodine test on your individual ingredients prior to making this blend).
